Same camera for perspective. It’s for moose so i hung it high. Can’t tell if that second pic is a monster bear or something else. Dew lays on that camera pretty hard in the mornings.

Many of you who know me know that I’d never have gotten in to being an outfitter if it wasn’t for Derek. The first picture is the first bear I ever got, I was 18. Derek and I grew up together…hunting, fishing, soccer, hockey. In January 1999 he and I were hunting late season deer in PA and i threw out the idea of a bear hunt. He instantly said, “I’m in!” We went and had an awesome hunt. The seed was planted that trip.
Derek passed on June 6, 2005. 20 years have gone by but I’m forever grateful for him. The memories we created together fuel me to do the hard things it takes to make sure you all can stack up memories like I’m fortunate enough to have.

I put out 3 cell cams yesterday to start doing my homework for moose season. This young bull was the first one to show up.

A few of you guys that have booked bear hunts with me and deposited have asked me what happens if you get drawn for a moose. I will gladly defer your deposit to a moose hunt if you get drawn. So definitely apply! It’s the hunt of a lifetime.

Linked below is the site where you can apply for a 2025 moose permit. The application process starts today, and ends on May 15. We guide primarily in zone 18, 19 and 28. However, there are more permits in the zones to the north. If you are picked for one of those, you can swap to our zones or I can guide you up there.
I’d recommend the following zones, in this order when you apply: 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 19, 18, 28
I’d skip the cow hunt, but if you want to put in for it, it won’t hurt your chances.

We have an excellent success rate on our moose hunts. Normally I’m booked guiding a “lodge tag” but this year we didn’t get the tag. So I’m available both weeks. The september week is prime rut, but both are good. So if you put in for this and get drawn, it truly is the trip of a lifetime. Put in…buy a few chances, build points and you never know! It’s worth it!
For non-residents, you have a 1/64 chance. There’s thousands that follow this page, if a bunch of you put in, someone will get a hunt they’ll never forget! Application details are on the post immediately below this one.

I have prime availability in June for bass/salmon fishing. This makes a great Father’s Day/graduation present. 50-100 fish days are common in June for us. So generally lots of action, in remote wilderness settings where we often don’t see another person (let alone fisherman) the entire day. The rates are in the last pic, and they are total, not per person.
