In 1928, John Blymyer believed he was under a deadly hex. Searching for help, he reportedly sought the advice of Nellie Noll, a mysterious Marietta woman known locally as the River Witch. What followed was the brutal murder of Nelson Rehmeyer and a sensational trial that captured national attention.

Join local historian Jim Landis as he reveals the true story behind Nellie Noll, her connection to Blymyer, and the notorious Hex Murder.

Our event is chock full of carefully curated artisanal vendors, food trucks, b**r tents, 4 stages of live music and a good time had by all. (Bands are booked directly by the bars and not us at DMPA)

While reopening without b**r isn’t how we imagined making our return, we’re excited to welcome everyone back and celebrate the next chapter of Hell in a Bucket.

Enjoy a self-guided tour of some of Marietta’s most charming private gardens, each bursting with blooms, creativity, and local pride. Discover landscaping ideas, floral inspiration, and a relaxing day surrounded by nature and community.

All proceeds support the mission and maintenance of the historic Marietta Community House. Come enjoy a beautiful day in our walkable, welcoming town.

You can buy tickets at the various locations listed below or at the door (264 W Market Street, Marietta) the day of the tour!

Tickets available at Floral Designs of Mount Joy, River Road Produce on Rt 441, Hinkles in Columbia, First National Coffee and Coworking at 100 West Market Street in Marietta, or at the door at The Marietta Community House (day of).

Tour tickets $12.00 in advance until Friday 6/5, and $15.00 day of 6/7 at Marietta Community House.
