There are no words to express 🥺 the love I have for the baby girl who introduced me to the sacred gift of becoming a grandmother. Being a Mom is a blessing, but becoming your Grandmom has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

Breylie Michelle, my Lala, today I celebrate you. 🎓✨

As you step into this new chapter, my prayer is that you always remember who you are.🫶🏽

You are intelligent, courageous, kind, and deeply loved.

Trust yourself. Trust the wisdom within you. Stand firm in your faith and never allow the world to convince you that you are anything less than the beautiful daughter GOD created you to be.

When life becomes challenging, pause, take a breath, ✨…and remember that GOD goes before you, walks beside you, and lives within you.

I know GOD is real because I cannot imagine navigating this life without His Presence.🙏🏽

Prayer has given me peace when life felt chaotic.

Faith has given me hope when circumstances looked impossible.

The Holy Spirit has given me discernment when I could not see clearly.✨

The older I get, the more I realize that I am not capable of doing life in my own strength.

Prayer is not my last resort; it is my first response.🙏🏽

Coming Home to My Younger Self.🥹

As I look back at my 17-year-old self, I realize how much of life pulled me away from who I truly was. We spend so many years chasing validation, survival, status, relationships, and expectations that we lose touch with the parts of ourselves that were once imaginative, curious, and full of dreams.✨

Inner child work has taught me that healing is not about becoming someone else… it’s about returning home to yourself with compassion, softness, and truth.

Because in the end, the journey is about remembering who we were before the world told us who we had to be.🌻

🌻Sacred Soil Reflection….✨

Often, we hear the phrase “waiting on God’s timing” used very casually. However, waiting on God’s timing is far more than a phrase. It is a spiritual practice rooted in discernment, surrender, and trust.✨

So often, we make decisions based on our own judgment, emotions, desires, or timing, without truly seeking God’s direction. But waiting on God is not simply about timing as much as it is about the waiting itself.

Waiting requires surrender.🙏🏽✨

It means placing your circumstances into the hands of a Higher Power, trusting that what God has for you is far greater than anything you could force, rush, or produce on your own.

The real test is trust.

Do you trust God enough to believe that His timing is perfect, even when life feels uncertain, delayed, or unclear?

As I mature, I’ve come to understand that inheritance goes far beyond money.🤎

The Word of God says a good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children, yet true inheritance is not only financial wealth. It is also wisdom, integrity, compassion, stewardship, generosity, and love.🫶🏽

Because what happens if we leave money behind, but never teach emotional wellness, financial responsibility, healthy relationships, or how to live with character and purpose?

We are living in a time where the village has grown quiet. Community has become fragmented and individuality often outweighs collective care. Yet I still believe there is sacred responsibility in pouring into the next generation mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and relationally.

Some of the greatest things we will ever leave behind cannot be placed in a will.🙏🏽

Wisdom.
Healing.
Discernment.
Faith.
Integrity.
Love.
That too… is inheritance. 🤎

Man Crushing Monday 🤎💙

Black Boy Magic… the kind only the Good Lord could usher in.🫶🏽🥰

I’ve been surrounded by girls most of my life, and now the Most High GOD is allowing me to witness this beautiful era of Black Boy Magic unfolding within our family. This is my sister holding her grandson and my grandson… and my heart is full.🥺💓

I’m committed to pouring into these young Kings with love, wisdom, integrity, compassion, emotional awareness, and spiritual grounding so they may grow into Black men who make an indelible impact on this world.🤎💙✊🏽

In a time where so much seeks to diminish our boys, I believe GOD is balancing the scales ⚖️… and I’m here for it.🙌🏽
May they grow rooted in truth, wrapped in love, and covered in grace. 🤎💙✨

✨🌻Seed for the Soul…

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, 💚..and in honoring that truth, I often reflect on the fact that over 30 years ago, I walked into my very first therapy session.
Not because I was “crazy,” but because I was struggling with anxiety and did not yet have the language to understand what I was feeling.

In many Black and Brown communities, mental health conversations were often hidden behind silence, survival, prayer, and performance. We learned how to endure, but not always how to heal.

Today, I remain deeply passionate about normalizing conversations around emotional wellbeing, therapy, and inner care.🫶🏽

And it is my sincere prayer that more Black and Brown men give themselves permission to seek support, safe spaces, and honest conversations around what they carry internally.

Strength is not suffering in silence.
Healing is not weakness.

And your partners cannot be your only source of emotional care, processing, healing, and stability.
Mental wellness impacts how we love, communicate, lead, and show up in our relationships and communities.

🌿🌻Sunday’s Soulful Reflections…

I believe a deep relationship with God requires our prayers to be messy, authentic, transparent, and real.

Sometimes we soften our emotions before bringing them to God, as if He is not already aware of every detail, every ache, every unspoken thing within us.

In this season of my life, I am learning that my prayers are most powerful when I come as my most vulnerable, unfiltered self. When I stop performing strength and simply bare my heart before my Father, something sacred happens.

Peace enters.✨

The Holy Spirit makes His presence known.✨

And I am reminded that God does not meet me only in my strength…💪🏽

He meets me tenderly in my weakness.🥺

That is when the scripture comes alive in me:
His strength is made perfect in my weakness.

There is power in a messy prayer.🙏🏽
God can bless a mess.

🌻Seeds for the Soul…

To my ladies, God gives us a gift, and that gift is intuition.✨

It is the inner knowing, the quiet voice, the gentle nudge that warns us when something is not right. It tells us when to run 🏃🏾‍♀️ from what looks good on the outside but feels unsafe in the soul.

Early on, the signs are there.
The patterns are there.
The behavior is speaking.

Yet too often, we silence our inner voice and question what we already know. I’ve been there before.🙋🏽‍♀️
Now I understand the power of listening to that sacred inner knowing.

Sometimes, their behavior is the answer you’ve been praying for.
