Well, my friends, all good things must come to an end... until next time. We've been home for a couple of days. After almost 3 weeks and 4100 miles, Max is gonna get a well deserved rest. The folks and I are trying to catch up with ourselves, too, after a lot of windshield time exploring some of America's beautious countrysides. Dad did a marvelous job of driving Max and keeping us safe. Hopefully, y'all have enjoyed Mom's pics that told of our traveling adventures. With a few more views to share, this will conclude this edition of Travels With Louie. I've had a blast. Luv you all... Hugs, Louie πŸ’–πŸΆ

Howdy, friends. We've just left Yellowstone and have entered the Grand Tetons. Didn't spend much time here, just drove on the outskirts of the park, and spent the night boondocking (no water, electric or sewage, just our generators and holding tanks) in an empty snowmobile parking lot. These are the Rocky Mountains...the big boys. At one point, our altitude was almost 10,000 feet 😱 It was definitely a windshield day, with a stop at a small campground that night to rest up and get some grub. All four of our traveling rigs met up the next day enroute in Casper, WY at a Walmart parking lot to plan our route to Custer State Park/Mount Rushmore area. Some needed to grab provisions, but not the folks... Dad says Mom is the queen of overpacking!!! πŸ˜† Our band of travelers motored on to the Custer area and regrouped just outside the park. Stormy weather was building, so we needed to get to our home-base campground. The next few days were filled with several explores filled with amazing scenery, with many pics to share. Enjoy this episode. Talk to you soon. Hugs, Louie πŸ’–πŸΆ

FINALLY!!! It's been exactly 1 week since I could tell my story. There is so much catching up to do. I think I will break catching up into 3 posts. Last time we talked, we had an adventure on the Beartooth Highway. At the time we were staying in Red Lodge, Montana. The folks did a short explore, on Thursday morning, of the town, then, we packed up and headed for Cody, Wyoming. We all did a little catching up with ourselves (2 nights in Cody) and left Friday morning, via the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway, for Yellowstone and meeting up with our fellow travelers. The pictures my photographer (Mom) tell my story, so enjoy the beautiousness of this country. My next post will cover the Tetons and the Mount Rushmore area. Take care, my friends. Talk to you soon. Hugs, Louie πŸ’–πŸΆ

Howdy, y'all...!!! Louie here. Just wanted to drop you a line to ket you know we're fine and fit as a fiddle. We've been traveling hard since last Thursday and seen a lot of beautious country, just can't share it with y'all cause the cell service isn't very strong in the mountains, if fact there have been times when there's none at all. Many of you have messaged Mom to see if we're ok. Thank you for the love. Just a teaser...we've been thru Cody, WY, Chief Joseph Scenic Highway, Yellowstone, the Tetons and right now we're in South Dakota. I'll have Mom see if she can get 1 pic to send to have you guess where we're at and ready to explore today. I got lots of stories to share and photos to talk about. Dad and Max have been doing a fine job of navigating some interesting mountain roads. Talk to you soon. Many hugs... Luv ya, Louie πŸ’–πŸΆ

My friends, the Beartooth Highway was an explore and an adventure all wrapped up into one package 😱 It was beautious beyond belief and scary at the same time 😲 Max got to sit this one out cause of all the switch backs and hairpin turns on the drive. Our little towd vehicle did us a fine job πŸš™ The pictures in my story are just a few of the bazillion Mom took. The ones we picked out are just to show what an amazing 65+ mile drive (one way) this was. Enjoy!!! Talk to you soon... Hugs, LouieπŸ’–πŸΆ

It was a windshield day...almost 9 hours in the saddle. The folks have gone their own path from the other 3 travelers. They've been to Glacier National Park before and chose to run the Bear Tooth Highway, instead (68 miles of switchbacks and navigating ups and downs). They will meet up again in a few days. Today, we've been thru some interesting road construction, then had to navigate thru our 1st big city (Billings, MT) in a while. Billings had a cannabis dispensary on every block and a casino in every restaurant and gas station, big or small. Mom had to stop at Walmart to get some supplies or we would not have stopped here. Mom took some scenery shots, so enjoy. Tomorrow's explore thru the Bear Tooth should be exciting. I get to go too...😊 Max gets to rest up... Talk to you soon. Hugs, Louie πŸ’–πŸΆ

What a day we had yesterday!!! It was a wonderful explore that lasted ALL day. Boy, the folks and I were pooped when we got back to Max. If you're ever in the western part of North Dakota, you must stop and see the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. There is so much beautiousness to see it's hard to imagine. Without pictures, it's hard to explain what we saw. I got to help Mom pick out the shots see took. Enjoy! Tomorrow is another windshield day as we move on to Montana. Talk to you soon. Hugs, Louie πŸ’–πŸΆ

OMG, my friends, I am so very happy tonight. It's been a really long couple of days. We've covered almost 750 miles since I last talked to you 😱. One day we drove the rest of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan into Wisconsin, then stopped for the night almost to Minnesota. Crossed that state then almost to North Dakota, then, today, we drove across most of North Dakota. As tired as we all are of looking out the windshield of Max, I am so happy, happy where we are camped tonight. The pictures Mom took will tell the tale. BTW: All three of our friends have finally gotten together, so, we're officially a caravan... but, why are we pushing so hard???!!! Will keep you posted of our adventures. Hugs, Louie πŸ’–πŸΆ

It's a big windshield day, my friends. We're headed for somewhere just over the Wisconsin border. This is a good time to catch everyone up on a dinner cruise the folks took last night on Lake Superior. Of course, I had to hangout with Max cause animals aren't allowed on the boat πŸ˜ͺ😑. Mom told me all about it, though, and we'll share some of the most beautious shots of the Pictured Rock National Lakeshore. Not only is today a travel day, it's rainy, windy and cold πŸŒ«πŸŒ¬β„οΈ and Gitchegumi is not happy! Dad's arguing with the lady in the GPS again. Not sure if she's trying to save miles or time, but she sure takes us on some interesting pig trails 😳. Guess she doesn't realize Max and our towd (tow vehicle) together are almost 60 feet long. Enjoy the pics...will talk to ya soon. Hugs, Louie πŸ’–πŸΆ
