This is a big hit for people who want to only visit one of these parks. On our road trip out west we used the annual pass, which won't go up in cost in this proposal. We visited Arches, Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Grand Canyon and Death Valley, all for $80 total. I consider that a steal for what we experienced.

To help tackle billions in deferred maintenance projects, the National Park Service is proposing a massive increase in entrance fees during peak visitation season for 17 parks, including four of Utah’s Mighty Five.
