Beautiful afternoon on the water with one of my favorite clients! Unfortunately his crew couldn’t make it to fish with him this time but we made the best of it!

The back and forth weather/winds has definitely made it interesting here in the bay but the fish are here!

If you’re having a bad day … nothing will make you feel more accomplished than bringing a dirty boat back to new!

We spend a lot of time making sure our hulls are buffed, waxed and looking good … and then we put them in the water and the parts we see every day remain unprotected! The parts that are in the sun, in the rain, in the winds and the parts of the boat we actually use!

Don’t skip the interior protection! Seats are expensive to replace, you walk on that floor barefoot and the sun does a number on anything plastic exposed!

If you are bottom painting, this is your sign to toss that old blue painter’s tape (or any other random color masking tape) and pick up some FrogTape ! Look at those lines 😍

On today’s episode of “How Shiny Can We Make That Boat” …

You know I love super dramatic before/after pictures and bringing neglected boats back to life … BUT it sure is nice to work on the boats that I’ve cleaned & maintained year after year … I know they’ll be show room fresh in no time. (Ok … “some” time 🕰️)

Getting the right polish on there in the spring, makes those scum lines, black streaks and rust stains wipe right off at the end of the season and UV protection keeps that oxidation from returning.

Clean boats are easier to keep clean!

Great day on the water with this crew yesterday … we snuck out on a beautifully calm morning to try our luck before this weekends winds. They definitely made us work for it but we found ‘em!
