One week in Costa Rica and somehow I came home even more in love with this incredible destination. 🌿🇨🇷

From wandering through magical cloud forests and zip-lining between giant trees 🌳 to slowing down on pristine beaches with nothing but sunshine, ocean views, and the sound of nature… Costa Rica reminded me to just be present.

The Amalfi Coast in summer is dreamy… but let’s talk about the reality. 🇮🇹✨

Those iconic cliffside villages, sparkling Mediterranean waters, and impossibly beautiful views? Absolutely worth dreaming about.

But in July and August, the Amalfi Coast can also mean crowds, packed roads, busy beaches, long waits, and significantly higher prices. Sometimes, the most beautiful trip isn’t about following the most famous itinerary, it’s about knowing where else to look. 👀

If you’re craving authentic experiences, incredible local food, and extraordinary natural beauty without quite the same level of summer crowds, here are three destinations I’d put on your radar:

Travel inflation is REAL... and waiting to book is costing you more than you think. ✈️💸 A few myths I hear all the time:

❌ “My friend went in 2022 and paid way less.”
Yep... but 2022 prices are gone. Travel costs, exchange rates, and availability change constantly.

❌ “ChatGPT/AI said it should cost...”
AI can be helpful, but it can also pull outdated or inaccurate information. Always verify with someone who books trips every day.

✅ Trust your travel advisor.
If I recommend a different hotel, destination, or experience, there’s usually a reason. The cheapest option isn’t always the best value.

⏰ Book early.
The biggest way to save? Plan ahead. You’ll have more choices, better pricing, and avoid paying for last-minute demand.

The longer you wait, the more travel inflation wins. 🌎

After five years of planning unforgettable trips, I’ve discovered a handful of
experiences I find myself recommending again and again. These are the ones
that consistently leave travelers saying, “That was the highlight of my trip.”

Here are a few of my favorites:

✨ Solo Destination: Croatia
Consistently ranked as one of the safest destinations in Europe, Croatia is an
incredible choice, especially for female solo travelers looking for a mix of history,
coastline, and adventure.

🧑🧑🧒🧒 Family Destination: Colombia
One of my favorite countries to recommend for families thanks to its incredible
diversity. From colorful cities and coffee farms to beaches and nature, there’s
something for every age and activity level.

🍷 Favorite Food Tour: Lisbon, Portugal
Portugal has some of my favorite cuisine in the world, but what makes this tour
unforgettable is learning the stories and traditions behind every bite.

🎎 Cultural Experience: Geisha Performance, Japan
Seeing a geisha in the wild is incredibly rare. A traditional performance offers a
beautiful opportunity to experience centuries-old Japanese music, dance, and
culture in an authentic setting.

🏔 Nature Escape: New Zealand
The landscapes here almost don’t seem real. Towering mountains, crystal-clear
lakes, and endless natural beauty make it one of those destinations everyone
should experience at least once.

🐘 Ethical Animal Experience: Elephant Nature Park, Thailand
One of my biggest priorities is recommending experiences that put animal
welfare first. Elephant Nature Park is a wonderful example of ethical
conservation, where elephants are cared for with respect and allowed to simply
be elephants: without rides or forced interactions.

These are just a few of the experiences I genuinely love sharing with my clients,

Travel can feel overwhelming when you haven’t done it often. Questions about flights, customs, transportation, safety, or simply knowing what to expect can make planning feel intimidating. And that’s completely okay.
