Did a road trip from Seattle to Napa Valley for a wedding and documented a lot of it! I'll be posting more in depth recaps of certain spots we loved, but I captured SO MUCH video, I had to recap the actual road trip portion of the trip for you.

If you living Seattle or Oregon or even Northern Cali and you don't have time to do the coastal drive, there are some REALLY great sites on the way down. The drive is roughly 13 hours if you don't stop, but we did it in 16 with some pretty amazing stops along the way!

Most people couldn't find Madeira on a map. Others have been quietly going there since 1891.

That's the year Reid's Palace opened on a cliff above Funchal Bay. Pink Victorian facade, 10 acres of subtropical gardens, 126 rooms with private balconies overlooking the Atlantic.

Winston Churchill painted from these grounds. George Bernard Shaw took tango lessons on this terrace. The famous afternoon tea is still served the same way it was a century ago, looking out over the same impossible view. Afternoon tea on the terrace is currently around €65 per person.
