Okay, genuinely curious — and ZERO judgment because every family is different… 👀
On average, how much would you say you spend on Christmas gifts for your kids? 🎄🎁
I’ve been thinking about this lately and want to challenge you to try something with your kids…
Ask them what they got for Christmas last year.
Then, ask them what their favorite trip, vacation, or experience has been. ✈️🏖️🎢
I’m willing to bet they can tell you about the trip or experience a whole lot faster than they can name the things they got under the Christmas tree.
And honestly, that’s been making me think differently about where we put our money. Kids outgrow toys. Things break. The excitement of a new gift eventually fades.
But the memories from a family trip, a weekend away, a concert, a day at the amusement park, or even a simple adventure together? Those stick. ❤️
Not saying we should stop doing Christmas or stop buying our kids gifts (because TRUST ME, I love watching my kids lose their minds on Christmas morning 😂).
Just a little reminder that maybe there’s something to be said for putting a little more value on experiences, adventures and memories together.
So… what’s your average Christmas gift budget per kid? 👇
And if you try the little experiment with your kids, come back and tell me which question they answered faster! 😂

🚢 Did you know you only need 16 guests OR 8 staterooms to qualify for a group cruise rate?
And here’s the thing… group rates aren’t always just about getting a lower cruise fare. There can be some pretty awesome perks that you may not realize are available!
For example, I recently booked a group that was originally planning to book directly with Royal Caribbean in GTY (guaranteed) rooms.
If you’ve never heard of GTY, it basically means you’re booking the room category, but you don’t get to choose where your room is located. Royal Caribbean assigns the specific room later, which is one reason these rates can sometimes be lower.
With the group booking, I was able to:
✔️ Get them a lower base price
✔️ Select their actual staterooms instead of leaving them as GTY
✔️ Add onboard credit to each stateroom
Being able to select their rooms alone made a BIG difference for this group! 🙌
So if you’ve ever thought about taking a cruise with your family, friends, organization, sports team, coworkers, or any other group, definitely reach out! I’d be happy to help you navigate the group booking process and see what options are available.
And probably my favorite part of group bookings… you don’t have to have everything figured out or pay a huge amount upfront to get started. A small deposit can get the process moving and help lock things in. 🛳️💙
If you’ve got a group that’s been talking about cruising together, send me a message! I’d love to help you make it happen. 😊

Just a little February cruise reminder for anyone who’s been thinking about joining us! 🛳️🥂

Our group cruise is still open to book through December 5th, but the longer you wait, the more likely the price is to go up!

It only takes $50 per person to lock in today’s price — so if you’ve been on the fence, this might be your sign! 😜

Come cruise with us!! 🍹☀️🛳️

But this one is authentic. So enjoy my typos and poor grammar or anything else that’s not social media perfect in this post 🤪

We spent 6 nights on Adventure of the seas this past week. It was more than needed for us as a couple… the stress of building a home, moving, work, selling a home, parenting, you name it.. we were due!
We visited ports we either have never been to or haven’t been to in over a decade. I wanted to take all the pictures like I was some kind of content creator and I realized I’m just not that 😂 so you get some basic photos of outfits I wore, some of the food we ate along with a few selfies in the casino and of course a few pictures of my favorite drinks. I found myself wanting to unplug more than anything and documenting all the things for the sake of content felt like so much work and really fake.
We love cruising and we love exploring… but this cruise was different. It’s wasn’t our favorite ship class, it lacks the entertainment that oasis class ships offer but we did enjoy our down time. We actually napped more than we have in years 😂 which we needed! Not to mention it was our first cruise at diamond 💎 status which had some cool perks.
Like true rookie cruisers, we forgot to grab towels before getting off the ship at our first port which was the Cayman Islands… which was a huge mistake! 7 mile beach is stunning and since we were the only ship in port, the beach was EMPTY! The water was calm & crystal clear which made the view absolutely amazing. They also have public transportation that’s only $2.50 per person which is soooo much cheaper than taking a taxi but be warned, there “buses” usually don’t have AC so the rides get HOT.
Next port was Falmouth, Jamaica and this is a take it or leave it port for me. Much like Nassau, the vendors are pushy and have a hard time accepting no for an answer. Highly recommend an excursion for this port. Or if you have children, maybe just stay on the ship and enjoy a quiet day at the pool.
Our last port was Grand Bahamas and you definitely want to consider an excursion or have an exact plan of attack because it’s an industrial port and not much to do within walking distance. The cab situation is pretty overwhelming also but we managed to find our way to Taino Beach and had lunch and drinks from Bernie’s which was great! Lobster and snapper made fresh ocean side 🤤
We also tried out Giovanni’s table for the first time and… eh, the starters were the highlight of the meal. Like so good I forgot to take pictures, the caprese salad was chef’s kiss. The calamari was actually really meaty and not the tentacles like you’d usually get.

But the best part of the cruise was the time I got to spend with just my husband. Our every day life is busy and full of just driving back and forth between work, sports, babysitters, etc. Getting to take time with one another is really important to us and cruising has been our go to the last few years. If you’re a parent, this is your sign to allow yourself a few days away with your spouse. It goes a long way for your marriage 💙 however we are really looking forward to taking the kids on Utopia in October 🥰

We're heading out tomorrow night for a 6-night cruise, and after spending the last month moving into our new house, I have things scattered everywhere. Having a checklist to glance over before I zip up my suitcase gives me so much peace of mind and helps make sure I don't forget even the most basic things.

One of my favorite things to include with every cruise booking is this custom packing checklist. Every one of my cruise guests receives it along with their cruise documents because I know how helpful it is—whether it's your first cruise or your fifteenth!

What's one thing you've forgotten to pack on vacation before? 👇
Funny story, I once cruise with a friend that forgot all her luggage 😂

I'm definitely a creature of habit. 😂 When I find something that works, I stick with it... and if you see me on embarkation day, there's a pretty good chance I'm wearing the exact same outfit I wear on almost every cruise!

My biggest embarkation day tip? Dress for what you plan to do that afternoon. If you're planning to head straight to the pool, just wear your swimsuit! Pair it with linen pants, shorts, a skirt, or a cute cover-up so it looks like an outfit, and you're good to go. Trust me—trying to find somewhere to change while carrying your bags around the ship isn't how I want to start vacation.
Now, if you're not planning to hit the pool on day one, then by all means, wear whatever makes you comfortable! But if lounging poolside is on your agenda, keeping it simple makes the whole day so much easier.
Bonus: outfits like this are perfect for port days too, so they definitely earn their spot in my suitcase!
What's your embarkation day routine? Are you team "straight to the pool," or do you have another first-day tradition?
