86 days until our Upcoming Trip to Universal:

This September Elise and I will be going to Universal Studios, Universal Islands of Adventure and Epic Universe. I'm excited about the trip since I've never been and Elise went when she was in high school so it'll be a new experience for both of us.

For the first half we will be staying at Universal's Aventura hotel, which is close to Volcano Bay. For the second part of the trip we will be staying at Cabana Bay.

I'm looking forward to many things but I am uber excited for Super Nintendo World in Epic Universe.

Time for a quick update and a bit of real talk.

Nearly two years ago, I connected with an incredible travel agent who reignited my passion for exploring the world. I've always loved to travel—especially anything involving roller coasters and high-speed thrills.

However, some personal choices had led to significant weight gain, and I found myself limited in doing the things I loved most, particularly with my wife by my side.

Last year, I made a commitment to reclaim my health—not just for myself, but to make traveling and adventure more accessible and enjoyable again.

Today, I’m thrilled to share that I just had my 6-month follow-up after undergoing bariatric sleeve surgery—and I’m officially down 120 pounds. Even more exciting: I’m off all the medications I was previously taking.

This journey has been life-changing, and I couldn’t be more grateful or motivated. I’m especially looking forward to an upcoming trip that’s shaping up to be truly special. I’ll be sharing more details this weekend—but for now, I’ve added a photo as a little teaser.
