Unpopular travel opinions form a Travel Agent who spends to much time thinking about other people's vacations:
- A cheaper flight isn't always better.
- 5 star resort isn't always the right resort.
- Your European Adventure doesn't have to be the Amazing Race

I truly care about what makes sense for you. Maybe I'd tell you to spend more on a non-stop flight or book the pre-night stay before your cruise.

Maybe the Preferred Club is actually worth it.

Maybe the resort your friend LOVED is one I'd take off your honeymoon list.

Good travel planning isn't following every travel trend, hack or "must do" list.

THIS is why you use a travel advisor.
It’s easy to think a travel advisor is just the person who books your hotel and flights. But what happens when plans change?

Last month, I had clients who:
Had a flight canceled and needed to arrive a day later — I adjusted their transfers and stay and helped secure a credit for the missed night.

Were traveling for a destination wedding — I was their point of contact for the bride & groom’s guests while they traveled.

Had birthdays, anniversaries & honeymoons — I worked directly with the resort to add those extra special touches.

Wanted private transfers at the last minute — I made the request happen.

Even with current changes in how people are allocating their money, luxury travel spending is up, with travelers projected to spend $3 trillion globally by 2033. “Consumers today are saying, ‘It’s worth it to me,’” Mazza said. “But ‘worth it’ is more than a financial calculation; it’s become an emotional calculation that only [advisors] can make for them.”

- The Great Wealth Transfer
According to Mazza, one of the largest shifts in consumer behavior in the travel industry is already underway: “the great wealth transfer.” "Eighty-four trillion [dollars] — that’s with a “t” — will be transferred over the next two decades from baby boomers to the next generation of travelers," she said.

Jacki Marks , global head of trade sales & engagement for ALG Vacations (ALGV), added that an ALGV survey shows 80% of Gen Z and millennial travelers use AI and social media for travel inspiration; however, 75% of them want “human interaction to make the final purchase decision,” so while younger travelers take advantage of technology, they value the expertise of travel advisors — and that’s a golden opportunity.
