The Culture creative programming is currently on pause as it seeks to gain a deeper foothold within its core competencies. The Culture's core leaders are building out their professions within video production, creative advertising, online branding and modeling in hopes that leads them into their own studio where an apprenticeship-styled learning atmosphere could be hosted in. This would offer grea
ter flexibility of curriculum, scheduling, and creative capacity. During 2014 and 2015 The Culture developed and implemented creative programming for high school believing creativity is the root to lifelong education. We offered 5 programs:
Electronic Music Production
Songwriting
Modeling
Apparel Design
Print Design
Each program was taught by an artist local to the Twin Cities, and aimed to introduce students to their creative passion through someone who pursues their artistry as their career. Each program produces a product that contributes to the culmination of all our programs: The Culture Fashion Show. The live performances give the students a taste of the real world and provide a raw experience to the crowd. The Fashion Show incorporates all of our programming: the Electronic Music Production students play their tracks as the models modeled the garments down the runway. The models are trained in the Modeling program. The garments are created in the Apparel Design program. The fashion lookbook held in the viewer's hands is produced by the Print Design program. We believe the student’s experience of producing this Fashion Show is the proof of The Culture's success.
