Europe's border process has changed.

The EU Entry/Exit System is now fully in place across all Schengen countries, replacing passport stamps with biometric registration for non-EU travelers on short stays. If you're heading to Europe this year (especially during peak summer travel) expect some added time at border crossings as airports and ports continue to scale up. The process itself is straightforward, just pack a little extra paitence. ✨

Lisbon is no longer undiscovered, but that hasn't diminished what's there. A few days in the city before heading south to the Algarve gives your itinerary a deeper feel. City, then coast, with good properties anchoring both. Portugal has invested in its hospitality, and it shows.

The most interesting parts of the Adriatic aren't accessible by car. The villages that haven't been absorbed into the summer circuit, the coves that don't appear on anyone's itinerary... these are places you reach by water.

Small ship cruising isn't just a different way to see the regions best spots such as Croatia or Montenegro. It's the only way to see them properly. Get in touch to start planning.

After enough trips, a pattern becomes clear. The travelers who move most easily are the ones who've edited down to what actually works.

The right carry-on, a well-chosen tote, and a flat-packed duffle for the return journey cover more ground than most people expect. The trip begins the moment you land, not forty minutes after.

Most people who say they don't like cruising have never been on a ship with 40 passengers. The experience has almost nothing in common with what they're picturing. Learn more about small ship cruising on the Amazon in the most recent BV Journal. Link in bio.

Edinburgh's a UK hotspot—think history, culture, nightlife. Stay here:

1. 100 Princes Street
Boutique hideaway in a former social club. 30 unique rooms, tartan touches and big views of Edinburgh Castle. Called the UK’s best city hotel—hand-painted mural, champagne welcome, super-smooth check‑in

2. The Balmoral
Edinburgh’s iconic clock‑tower hotel on Princes Street. Ultra-luxe rooms, spa, and Michelin dining. What more do you need?

3. House of Gods
Downtown, neon-lit party palace. 22 over-the-top, ultra-hedonistic rooms and an iconic cocktail bar. The place for one unforgettable night.

4. Gleneagles Townhouse
Members’-club vibe meets 5‑star hotel. 33 richly decorated rooms, rooftop bar with city views and elevated dining. A low-key luxury reboot in the heart of St Andrew’s Square.

5. Virgin Hotels Edinburgh
Bright, playful design inside a 19th‑century building off the Royal Mile. Space‑age furniture meets historic architectural bones. Fun, colourful and a bit cheeky.

Which one would you choose?

Here’s a peek at what I’m planning right now for clients who like their travel with a side of flavor.

🍷 Wine-soaked days and Michelin nights in Piedmont
🌊 A coastal road trip through Calabria with plenty of seafood stops
🥐 A fall getaway to Paris, built around pastries, markets, and museum quiet
🎤 A quick trip to London—because Beyoncé doesn’t tour forever

Every trip is built from scratch—with your taste, pace, and wishlist in mind.
