Visions From | La Mar is a visual journey to Costa Rica's seamount fishery. This trip in particular amounted to 20 blue marlin and a handful of sailfish.

We had 52 bites today, releasing 42. A first time quad and a 5 header on board Carnivore. Happy to have 2 seasons of this ahead of us!

Our time spent at Bocas Del Toro was a blast. Great surf Non stop. Today we day hopped 135nm to Panama Canal Zone and are currently berthed at Shelter Harbor Marina on Atlantic side of canal. Hoping to transit canal as soon as possible. Gianno Petrilli happens to be comming into the Canal Zone within next 24 hours on the Mass Maritime Training Ship Kennedy. he says he even has a couple days leave to chill with CARNIVORE Crew. How's that for timing?? Momma Natalie is smiling!

Surf has been nonstop since we arrived to Panama. No complaints this holiday season. Merry Christmas friends!

Wet a couple lines between Jamaica and Panama. Now I think the three of us can safely say that we have been covered up by blue marlin. We have all witnessed many species of fish swarm the spread over the years, however our situation a couple days ago was a first. Two teasers, two plugs, a blue marlin chewing on all four, and a free swimming fish just observing his buddies. Who knows how many there actually were, and Lord knows what could have been if we had more baits in the water, but these fish were certainly foreign to J-hooks so we gave them an education. A bonus spearfish to boot. Most definitely a day for the memory bank. We have no photo or video evidence, so you'll just have to take our word for it. Anyways, we are safely sitting in Bocas del Toro, Panama and this will be our home port for the next 6 weeks prior to transiting the canal. Merry Christmas everyone!!

Shoving off tomorrow morning for Panama. Jamaica was a pleasant country to spend a few days. Hope to be in Bocas del Toro by midday Wednesday. The first 300 miles look a bit bumpy, but if the forecast holds, the second 300 should be alright. Will update midweek.
