After losing my aunt in 2022 and grieving her death for the remainder of the year, I decided that 2023 would be dedicated to her in the best way that I knew how. She used to tell me stories of her and my Uncle O.Bill’s travel. They would go for a drive and sometimes end up several states away or even in Canada. I’m a bit more of a planner than that (especially with two littles,) but I decided to make 2023 the year of travel. Take the trip. Do what makes you happy. This life is far too short.
We began 2023 in Gatlinburg with family.
January 2023- Disney with friends!
February 2023- Back to Gatlinburg for a weekend.
February 2023- Memphis to watch Grizzlies vs. Lakers
March 2023- Weekend trip to Nashville
March 2023- Hosted our Indy fam for a weekend of fun at our house
April 2023- Gulf Shores with my sis & Rod
April 2023- Overnight trip to Illinois to pick up our sweet baby Louis 🐮
May 2023- Another trip to Illinois to pick up Baby Gucci 🐮
May 2023- Port St. Joe for the annual Cannon-Lee Beach Vaca
June 2023- Overnight in Nashville with kiddos
June 2023- overnight in Nashville with friends
June 2023- mommy & daddy to Arkanasa for daddy to work
June 2023- Camping trip with family to LBL with some General riding at Turkey Bay
July 2023- hosted our Indy fam for another fun weekend
July 2023- an extended hospital stay for Jake that caused a missed vacation 🤣 (we just pretended we were on vacation)
July 2023- Nashville weekend to see George Strait!
August 2023- A couple nights in Frankfort for Leevi’s graduation from KSP
September 2023- Day trip to Paducah/LBL with friends
September 2023- Family Disney trip + Memaw, Pepaw, & KeKe
October 2023- Nashville weekend for Titans game
October 2023- Gulf Shores with family + Uncle Stan, Aunt T, Trapper, Tanner, and Kinsley
November 2023- a couple of nights away in Louisville for a Cards game and some R&R
November 2023- another day trip to Louisville for a football game
December 2023- Nashville field trip to ICE and Opry Mills
December 2023- French Lick with our Indy fam for a fun weekend including Polar Express
December 2023- overnight to Louisville for UK vs. UofL game with Sis & Rod
And we ended 2023 and began 2024 at Disney with the Overstreet fam.
I have a love for traveling and I am already planning several adventures for 2024.
