To be fair I was planning on leaving my job for some time now. When things just don't feel right, listen to that inner voice telling you what you truly want! Change can be scary, but it forces you to grow and adapt, and that's always a good thing.

When I was 10, my teacher told us to write down what we were most afraid of on an assignment in class. Most of my fellow 5th grade classmates wrote down spiders, thunderstorms, the dark, death even... but I quietly sat there for a bit and raised my hand.

When my teacher came over, she noticed I wasn't writing.

"Just write down what youre afraid of, Emily," she said kindly. I paused for a moment to think, frustrated but not quite knowing why. Then, I looked her straight in the eye and said, "But Ms. Borsick, I'm not afraid of anything."

I often think of the little girl I was. I often think about what she would think of me today. What am I afraid of? Am I still not afraid of anything? Or is there fear holding me back? Is my fear rational or irrational? Fear of faliure? Fear of commitment? Fear of missing out? Fear of being alone? Fear of the opinions of others? Fear of change?

What are your biggest fears and why? Are your fears holding you back???

((In the end I wrote that I was afraid of death. And too much homework, of course. ๐Ÿ˜…))

Im always being asked-- what was your favorite country? It really depends on what you mean by favorite. Do you mean for hiking? For food? For adventure? Each country had something to offer. Norway was far superior than any other in hiking though!

A day at the Met โœจ

If youre heading to the Met they now have a timed entry system. Book online just to be on the safe side! You wouldn't want to show up and be turned away for being at capacity. I was able to book at about 11am for a 2pm entry on a Friday. Weekends are busier!

I really enjoy the French impressionists and the Dutch masters exhibits๐Ÿ˜. What are your favorite exhibits in the Met?
