22 years ago 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning tomorrow. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives. None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment, life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.

I am attending the Travel Advisors of the Mid South (TAMS) conference in Murfreesboro. There is always so much to learn in the travel industry, especially since Covid. Does your travel advisor attend conferences to stay educated? If not, then they don’t care about you. Maybe this is just a hobby or part-time business for them and they don’t have time to invest in learning more about the travel industry. Please, for your own good, use a qualified travel advisor when planning your vacation and investing your hard earned money in your dreams.

This photo is a blast from the past. It's 1994 and pilot Jerry Rainwater, Linda Hutton, and I are just taking off on an adventure in a hot air balloon flying over the Great Wall of China into the unknown mountains of China. This photo was taken by J. Robert Russell who was in another American balloon piloted by Sam Alexander. A third American balloon piloted by Earl Miller with Toby Spalding joined us in this epic flight. Amazingly, all 3 balloons landed in the same little mountain village some 2 hours later. And furthermore, in case you are wondering, this was not photoshopped.

Cozumel was great, but it is good to be back home. I am still loading my snorkel photos, so stay tuned.
