As my last post may have indicated my shoulder wasn’t ready to work full time so I then closed off my calendar till I was 100% capable of doing this. This week we went camping and my goal was to be able to kayak for several hours and not have shoulder pain from my rotator cuff surgery. Although it was a success with my shoulder I want to strengthen my back more and I have things I need to do to load and unload kayaks without killing my back for days. I know we are getting into some of the best fishing in the inlet now but I feel that it would be best to continue building strength in not only my shoulder but my core muscles to keep my back in check. With that said I will wait till spring to try and start this again. It has been humbling to say the least. Im not one to have to sit or not be able to do things but im not 30 years old anymore either. I love the inlet. I miss the morning sunrises and the smell of the pluff mud and seeing the other captains. Even Dan Connoly. If you see me out there I’d appreciate a finger or thumb. Doesn’t matter to me. Either way I’d know you know my story.
