Chabad Of Myrtle Beach, SC Chabad Lubavitch has become the most dynamic force within Judaism today. It is a philosophy, movement, and organization that guides peo

It is a Hebrew acronym for the combination of wisdom (chachmah), comprehension (binah), and knowledge (da’at). To a small community of less than 5,000 Jewish people, the Rebbe sent us 21 years ago to establish another point of light in the middle of nowhere. The closest Shluchim was four hours away in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Rebbe saw the potential, and a few years later wrote to us in thes

e words, “I am confident that each and all of the participants will take the fullest advantage of the enormous opportunities that you have to expand and intensify your ongoing activities and programs of spreading and strengthening Torah and Yiddishkeit in your area and the world over.” With a lot of hard work today, we have a beautiful community that is lead by four Chabad Rabbis. Today we have a thriving community of over 150 families, with 125 children in day school from Nursery to Eighth Grade, a Synagogue that meets twice a day – every day, and a full house on Shabbat and Holidays – that is known for its warmth and closeness. The lights in Chabad are open 24/7 all year round. We have two kosher establishments in our city under Chabad supervision in order to serve the locals and visitors. Tourists and visitors who come often to town say they don’t believe their eyes – are we in South Carolina or Jerusalem?
