We have basil coming out of our ears, this is also our latest tomato harvest and some pretty sunflowers from seeds my sister Ann Habenicht sent me. I’m still learning what grows and what’s not heat resistant. The hummingbirds are still here and we have goldfinch, house finch, sparrows and doves at the feeders.

One more! We didn’t go in, just stopped for fuel at 8a. Long driving day ahead of us.

So, this makes it even more real. We finally got on the road this afternoon, made it all the way to Ontario, Oregon at 11:30 pm (10:30 pm PST). Unfortunately we didn't get the house sold before we left, we took it off the market for the winter. It's been quite a roller coaster emotionally. We are almost finished with all the hard work, unpacking on arrival in CA will be the last hurdle. Now we wait and see what happens in the spring!
