Summer in Napa Valley has officially started, and this is how we'll be spending the next 30 days:
Taste something refreshing — because June on a winery terrace with a crisp glass of white wine or rosé in hand is undefeated. Try Lola Wines, ZD Wines, Stewart Cellars or Etude Wines.
Spend an afternoon poolside — afternoon temperatures are finally hot enough to justify doing absolutely nothing by the water. Hide out under a cabana until golden hour at Casa Mani Napa Valley, Estate Yountville, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley, or Solage, Auberge Collection.
Indulge in al fresco dining — June weather dictates that all meals must be eaten outside. Find a shaded patio and settle in for a long lunch at , , .don.giovanni, , or Pico Bar at .
Attend a festival or event — summer in the valley brings live music, food pop-ups, and outdoor celebrations. Catch a show at ’s summer sessions or music in the park across in , , , and .
Hit the farmers market — summer produce is officially peaking. Skip the grocery store and pick up fresh stone fruit, heirloom tomatoes, and artisanal cheeses at the Napa Farmers Market (Saturdays & Tuesdays), St. Helena Farmer's Market (Fridays), Yountville Certified Farmer's Market (Sundays) or the Calistoga Farmer's Market (Saturdays).
Go on an outdoor adventure — head out early to beat the afternoon heat. Take in the valley views on a hike through Bothe-Napa Valley State Park, bike the Napa Valley Vine Trail with Napa Valley Bike Tours, or hit the skies in a hot air balloon with Napa Valley Aloft Hot Air Balloon Rides.
