Do you ever wonder how our adventures come to fruition? It all starts with an idea, a desire to learn more, or a bucket list. In the case of Costa Rica, I was teaching geography and birds. I had a desire to see what I taught in real life rather than simply learn from a book. I also love to hike and watch sunsets. I came home from work with a tentative itinerary created by my amazing husband. We hiked to several waterfalls, went on private daytime and nighttime guided walks through the rainforest with a well informed naturalist, explored unique beaches, watched many sunsets, did a canopy tour with a naturalist searching for birds in the rainforest, and so much more. The memories made, education received, and conversations with locals are priceless. Personally, I do not have the time or desire to research areas, find deals, and plan the logistics of our adventures, but I greatly enjoy and am enriched by participating in them. Thank you Airman Adventures for an amazing adventure.

Travel tip for the day..

When looking for airfare and you have some flexibility on when you're wanting to go, try https://www.google.com/travel/flights?gl=US&hl=en-US

You're able to put in multiple origin and destination airports if undecided where you're wanting to go or are near airports that might offer some savings to fly out of. They have a calendar view (best looked at on a computer) that you can use to choose the best/cheapest flights.

I recently booked flights from Pensacola (PNS) to Auckland, New Zealand (AKL) for travel in March for $750 per person round trip in basic economy on Delta. These were booked about 6 months in advance. The inexpensive flights sell out quick.
