✨ Solo cruising the Disney Wish — one of the best decisions I've made in a while ✨

I was asked several times: "By yourself? Really? Weren't you scared? Lonely?" Nope — not for one second. And honestly, it got me thinking about my why.

As a travel advisor, I don't just book trips from behind a screen, I experience them. I want to know what the stateroom actually feels like, not just what the photos show. I want to taste the food, experience the shows, talk to the crew, and notice the little details most people would never think to ask about. That way, when a client asks me "is it worth it?" or "should we do this excursion?" — I'm not guessing. I've been there. I've lived it.

Traveling solo let me do all of that without distraction. I explored at my own pace, said yes to every conversation that came my way, made friends over dinner, and had time to actually reflect on the magic instead of just rushing through it.

So here's my takeaway: whether you're dreaming of a girls' trip, a couples getaway, a family trip at sea, or your own solo adventure — I've done the homework so you don't have to guess. I'd love to help you plan a trip that feels just as magical as mine did. 🚢✨

Galveston is about to get very, very interesting. 🚢

If you’ve been waiting for a reason to book a cruise close to home, here it is. The world’s largest cruise ship, Icon of the Seas, is sailing out of Galveston starting August 2027.

Norwegian Prima joins in summer 2028 with 7-night Western Caribbean sailings, and Carnival’s brand-new Excel-class Tropicale arrives in 2028 too.

Six cruise lines now sail from Galveston. That’s a 60 to 90 minute drive for most of us instead of a flight, a rental car, and a hotel night before you even step on the ship. 🙌

Here’s the part people don’t realize: the best cabins on these new ships get claimed the second bookings open. If you want a balcony that isn’t over the theater, or connecting rooms for the kids, early matters.

Dad said he was "just going for the kids." Sure he was. 😄

This is dinner on the Disney Wish. Not a quick bite before a show. Dinner is the show. Worlds of Marvel or Frozen puts you right in the middle of the story while you eat, and by the end even the parents who swore they weren't into it are the ones talking about it at breakfast.

That's the part people don't expect about a Disney cruise. You unpack once, and the entertainment, the dining, the characters, all of it comes to you. No park hopping, no rope drop, no 20,000 steps before lunch.

The best part of a Disney cruise isn't even just the Disney Cruise! Although any Disney Cruise is fabulous!

It's Castaway Cay. Disney's own private island in the Bahamas. You walk off the ship straight onto the sand. No taxis, no tour buses, no scrambling to find somewhere decent to eat. Just your family, a beach chair, and a whole day where nobody asks you what's for dinner.

That's the part people come back and tell me about. Disney’s Castaway Cay!

Spidey senses tingling yet? 🕷️

Marvel Day at Sea is a real thing, and it's exactly what it sounds like. Spider-Man, Captain America, Thor, Loki, Black Panther, all of them, taking over a Disney ship for a full day.

Themed dining. Character encounters your kids will talk about for years. A deck party where the heroes and villains finally go at it.

This photo is one of my families at a Marvel dinner onboard. She has not stopped talking about it since.

"When should I start planning?" Earlier than you think. ⏰

The good rooms, the good staterooms, and the good flights go first. Not the cheap ones — the *good* ones. The ones that make the trip easy instead of a series of small compromises.

Most of my families are booking six months to a year out. Some of the popular cruise itineraries go faster than that.

Here's the part people don't realize though: booking early doesn't lock you in at a bad price. If a better deal shows up later, I watch for it and I move you. That's part of the job.

So start early. There's no downside.

Adults only, all inclusive, feet in the sand and somebody else doing the cooking. That’s the whole vibe.

Here’s what a lot of folks around here still don’t know: my planning is completely free to you. I get paid by the resorts, not by you. Same price you’d pay booking it yourself, except you get someone in your corner handling the details, watching for price drops, and answering your texts when you panic about what to pack.
