Starting May 28th, you’ll have to PAY for checked bags.📅💸 The major change of direction comes less than 6 months after Southwest announced they are eliminating their signature open seating format in early 2026. At this point, what exactly does Southwest do that the other airlines don’t, besides refuse to have first class? Southwest is the friend who swore they would never grow up to be like their parents, and then you catch them shopping for a minivan. The evolution was inevitable.
