Join our coalition of East Bank neighborhoods on Monday, September 15th, at the City Council District C East Bank forum. This is your opportunity to hear directly from candidates in the City Council District C race.

Did you know: District C represents all of the Westbank, as well as key economic driving neighborhoods on the East Bank, including the French Quarter, Bywater, Marigny, Tremé, St. Roch, the Seventh Ward, and the St. Claude commercial corridor.

The forum will feature moderator Travers Mackel, WDSU News Anchor. All City Council District C candidates have been invited to participate.

UPDATE: Councilmember Freddie King III initially confirmed his participation, but due to scheduling constraints, will no longer be attending.

This moderated discussion will give each candidate the chance to share their vision for District C’s future and engage with their future constituents.

Topics will include:

Infrastructure and city services
Housing and economic development
Short-term rentals
Public safety
Services for the unhoused
Engagement with historic preservation boards and commissions
This event is open to all Orleans Parish residents.
