Krewe of BOO! rolls at 6:30 p.m. from the French Quarter into the Warehouse District.

It's free and it's the city's official Halloween parade. The candy 🍬 comes right off the floats, so bring a bag.

Blood Type cocktails come in eight-ounce medical bags, the utensils are gold so silver is never a problem, and the 🩸 menu underneath the bit is still Creole.

A full lap at the Carousel Bar 🎠 takes 15 minutes, and the Vieux Carré cocktail was invented right there at the Hotel Monteleone.

Warm water is still their favorite weather 🐊, and an 80-degree October afternoon on the swamp counts.

The large airboat runs an hour and 45 minutes for ages five and up, with self-transport tickets from $59, or $89 if you want to add hotel pickup.

You get ninety minutes with a local guide and shade the whole way, which still matters when October averages an 80-degree high.
