I spent the last two days in Natchez taking a class with Wyatt Waters Gallery . Both days were beautiful and we got to paint in Plein Aire. It was a group of 15 ladies and one guy, and we all enjoyed the instruction and the fellowship as well as critique. Here are my two paintings I created .Painting out in plein aire is challenging, the light moves, the paper dries fast, but a challenge only makes us better.

So these past four days I have been working on a 16x20 commission. I don't usually paint that large, so it was a bit challenging and had to take lots of breaks not to hurt my arm. I think I have finished it, I usually let it sit and look at it before it is completely finished, then need to mat it and deliver. I am posting photos of the progression .

Fun Sunday afternoon work . This was done on gesso canvas, and I used a micron to draw and then added watercolor carefully since the surface was not absorbent and tended to smear a bit. This a picture of the flowers my husband sent me for my birthday .

This watercolor is from a River in Lourdes, France Gave de Pau. I enjoyed visiting this sacred place and painting those trees and rocks.
