Norma Wallace, a name that evokes intrigue and fascination, was a prominent figure in New Orleans during the early and mid-20th century. As a powerful and resourceful madam, she operated a network of brothels that thrived despite the constant threat of law enforcement. Beginning in 1920, she would operate brothels for the next 45 years, a span that has not been beaten in the history of New Orleans.

Hey Guys, we truly need your help with something…

It will come as no surprise that with tourism way down, our tour guides are suffering. Amanda has been getting so many calls from our guides who are scared, hurting, and stressed. Guides who work not only for us, but those of other companies begging for work. We know many of our local musician and artist friends are in the same position.

Amanda and I are working on a way to help them get through this hard time. We will be offering virtual tours through Youtube live streaming. But, in order to live stream through Youtube, you must have any least 1000 subscribers to your channel - and we only started our Youtube channel a few weeks ago with little fanfare.

We have looked at Zoom and Instagram, but Youtube streaming seems to be the best option.

Here’s where you come in. Would everyone who sees this post please go to the Royal Tours New Orleans Youtube channel and please subscribe to the channel? This will allow us to get to the required number of subscribers to allow us to live stream. We will then use that platform to offer virtual tours in the French Quarter with the tips and proceeds going to our guides and the participating musicians.

Wouldn’t it be cool to get a live tour of the French Quarter - Jackson Square, Madam Lalaurie’s mansion, Royal Street - without having to leave your home? Ask questions of the guides. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the French Quarter.
