🧼 What to Do If You Wash Your Passport (Yes, it happens more than you think!)

👎🏻 So you just found your passport in the washing machine. Deep breath. Here’s what to do:

1️⃣ Don’t panic (yet). Let it air dry completely—no hair dryers or irons.

2️⃣ Check for damage: Look for bleeding ink, water spots on the photo page, or a warped chip (if it has one).

Can you still travel with it?

▶ If the photo page is intact and readable, you might be okay—but some countries and airlines won’t accept it.

▶ If it’s torn, unreadable, or warped—you’ll need a replacement.

▶ Report it ASAP: You may need to apply for a new passport or an expedited one depending on your travel dates.

✈️ Pro tip: Always check your passport’s condition before a trip. Damaged = denied boarding.
