In the 1920s, Black women weren’t even allowed to attend flight school in the U.S. 🚫 But that didn’t stop Bessie Coleman.

She moved to France, learned to fly, and became the first Black woman in the world to earn a pilot’s license. 🌍✈️

Her dream? To open a flight school for Black pilots and prove that the sky was never the limit.

Before integration, Black travelers faced segregation, discrimination, and limited safe places to stay, eat, and refuel. That’s where Victor Hugo Green’s "Negro Motorist Green Book" (1936-1966) came in—helping Black travelers navigate safely across the U.S.

✔️ Some Green Book locations still exist today and are part of Black travel history!
