Emma & Jonah were married on a beautiful, mild day at The Tree of Life in Audubon Park on April 23, 2002. Their reception was right across the street on the lawn of a house, which faces Audubon Park. The setting at both places was enchanting!

Congratulations to Timothy & Jessica, who were married in Audubon Park on this gorgeous day! What a fun group!

City Park is one of my favorite places! Many thanks to these two gentlemen for what they contributed to our park. 😘

City Park mourns the loss of two incredible benefactors, Sydney Besthoff and Malcolm Ehrhardt, who contributed to the Park in their own unique ways.

Local drugstore icon Sydney Besthoff forever left his mark on the City Park footprint in 2003 with the opening of the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden at the New Orleans Museum of Art. Initially contributing art from his own personal collection, the garden has expanded today to over 90 pieces across 11 acres.

Public relations revolutionary Malcolm Ehrhardt began his volunteer work across the street from his City Park Avenue home in 2002. Due to his meticulous pruning and upkeep, Ehrhardt was named an honorary member of the grounds staff and the celebrated “City Park” hedges have maintained their shape and beauty for 20 years.

The City Park family extends its warmest, most-heartfelt regards to the Besthoffs, Ehrhardts and anyone affected by these great losses. We promise to honor each man’s memory every day by working to make City Park the best it can be. Just as they did. 💚
