I've stayed at almost every Deluxe resort at Walt Disney World. The only two I have yet to experience are Old Key West and Saratoga Springs. I always return to the Polynesian whenever I visit Disney World.
The Grand Floridian is certainly more elegant and refined, but I love the Polynesian's tropical decor, amazing teak scent, and all that green space. Plus, it was the hotel where I stayed on my very first trip to Disney when I was 5 years old. 🥰. My kids love the lava waterslide and pool area and it's always a core memory when we watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the pool area!
On our last visit, we stayed at the Polynesian and we were upgraded to the Club Level! I've stayed Club Level at the Boardwalk, Yacht Club, and Beach Club, but my kids have never experienced the Club Level. They are now ruined for life!
The Polynesian Club Lounge is my favorite of the Club Lounges I've visited. It's a two level space with gorgeous floor to ceiling windows with views of Magic Kingdom. If you don't want to swim and watch fireworks, this is the next best option! There is food throughout the day with a full breakfast that is the perfect beginning to a park day. We actually cancelled or breakfast reservations once we realized we were upgraded! In the afternoons and evenings, there are desserts, hot hors d'oeuvres and lite bites, and complimentary w**e and b**r. The Club Lounge is the perfect spot to relax after a long park day or to get a little peace and quiet during the day to work, read a book, or just have a minute to yourself. 😉. I also appreciated that the Club Lounge has a dedicated concierge desk in the lounge to help out with anything you need during your stay. Oh! And should you need dessert, there's a mini fridge full of Mickey bars! [email protected]
