We also offer a boutique event planning service, unforgettable corporate dinners and impactful team building programs In 1986 I had my first bowl of crawfish ettouffé in a small town in Northern NJ called Myersville at the eponymous Myersville Inn; I was 14 years old. The chef was a displaced Cajun who turned what was formerly a red sauce Italian joint into a Cajun/Creole restaurant. I was a huge
hit, and quickly became my favorite restaurant in town. I had no idea that the spicy, redolent etouffee and warm hushpuppies would foreshadow the events of my life to come. Eventually, I too became a chef, and was working in Manhattan when I met a person who would change my life forever, a statuesque Cajun woman with piercing blue eyes. After a whirlwind romance we moved to New Orleans together, where I continued on even after the romance sputtered out. New Orleans, as it turned out, was actually the lady I was always meant to meet -- my muse, my inspiration. I immersed myself deeply in its cuisine and culture, working in kitchens, writing about and photographing its people, and devouring its food like that etouffeé I had all those years ago. Passions change in life, but my passion for the city has only grown. As an award winning chef and photojournalist, I want visitors to our city to experience it in a way that is organic and sustainable, as well as deeply pleasurable. I want them to learn the city and its people. I want them to have an experience that is genuine. I want them to see what I fell in love with years ago, before I even knew how it was going to turn out.
