Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is officially opening July 1, 2027, along the shores of Bay Lake, and I have a feeling this one is going to be a popular addition to the Disney Resorts Collection!

✨ EPCOT WITH ZERO PLANS… AND IT WAS ONE OF OUR BEST DAYS ✨

Our most recent Disney trip was a short weekend getaway, so we only had ONE park day. My husband suggested we do Early Entry, so we got up early, headed to EPCOT… and had absolutely no plan beyond two dining reservations.

And you know what? We had the BEST day. 🥹✨

We got there for Early Entry and knocked out THREE rides, saw Daisy walking around, and then headed to our breakfast reservation at Garden Grill. And OH. MY. GOODNESS. 🤤 If you haven't done Garden Grill, PLEASE put it on your list. The food was incredible, and we loved the whole experience.

After breakfast we:
✨ Met Moana
✨ Walked through Journey of Water
✨ Went to Goofy's Dance Party (exclusive to Cool Kids Summer!)
✨ Danced with Goofy & Max
✨ Hit the Encanto Dance Party
✨ Explored the countries
✨ Snacked our way around World Showcase
✨ Met Anna & Elsa in Norway
✨ Rode the Mexico boat ride
✨ Had dinner at Via Napoli
✨ Watched the fireworks

And somewhere around 2–3pm, our newly 3-year-old officially hit the wall. 😂 It was nap time. So we put on his earmuffs, covered the stroller with a lightweight blanket, turned on the fans and… he was OUT. 😂

Which meant Mom and Dad got to enjoy some World Showcase time while he slept. We wandered through the countries, looked around, grabbed snacks for ourselves and just enjoyed the afternoon.

Just as we reached Morocco, the skies opened up. 🌧️ We ducked inside and managed to grab the last two seats before the Florida downpour hit. And, naturally, about 10 minutes later it was basically over and we were back on our way. 😂

We continued through World Showcase and when we got to Norway, our little guy finally woke up just in time for us to meet Anna & Elsa! 👑❄️ Then we headed into Mexico to ride the boat and explore the shops before dinner at Via Napoli. 🍕

After dinner, we headed back toward World Celebration to watch the fireworks.

And the BEST part? We were at EPCOT from basically open to close with a 3-year-old… and we only rode FOUR rides the entire day. THREE of those were during Early Entry and we basically walked right onto them.

We didn't have a touring plan. We didn't have a packed itinerary. We weren't running from attraction to attraction.

We just went with the flow.

And it was WONDERFUL. ❤️

So when people say EPCOT isn't a park for kids, I have to respectfully disagree. 😂 Between character meets, entertainment, Journey of Water, dance parties, food, Mexico's boat ride and all of the things there are to explore… I actually think EPCOT can be an AMAZING park for little ones.

Sometimes the best Disney days are the ones you don't plan. ✨🏰

🏔️💦 Our new Disney non-negotiable: WATER PARK DAY!

On our most recent trip, we utilized our FREE water park entry on check-in day during Cool Kids Summer and headed straight to Blizzard Beach… and honestly?!

We had the absolute BEST time. 🙌🏼💦

If you're visiting Walt Disney World during those hot Florida summer months, I think a water park day might officially be a non-negotiable for us moving forward. 😂

I spent approximately 87% of my day in the lazy river because… isn't that what vacation is for?! 😂😎

And I have a VERY important lazy river tip: I was NOT prepared for the waterfall. 😂 There is no avoiding it and you WILL get drenched.

Our solution? We grabbed one of the tube-style floats with the bottom that are meant for babies/toddlers (and yes, no child was using it 😂) and used it to cover our heads as we went through. Worked like a charm!

Plus, most of the lazy river is shaded, which I absolutely loved. I was actually surprised by how many trees and shaded areas there were throughout Blizzard Beach.

But my #1 tip?

🚨 BRING WATER SHOES FOR EVERYONE. 🚨

The ground gets HOT. Like… REALLY HOT. You do not want to be walking around barefoot. Your feet will thank you. 😂

And our day started off pretty perfectly because as soon as we walked in, we spotted GOOFY! 🥹💙 We got there right around opening and there was barely a line, so we grabbed a photo before starting our day.

There are also plenty of places to grab food, snacks and, of course, ICE CREAM. 🍦 Because ice cream at a water park on a hot Florida day is basically required.

And the biggest hit with our newly 3-year-old?

💦 Tike's Peak!

He went down that slide more times than I can count and absolutely LOVED it. And to my surprise, he also loved going into the wave pool with Dad!

We left Blizzard Beach already talking about when we could do it again. 😂

Honestly, I'm already thinking we may need to upgrade to Park Hopper Plus on future summer trips and use the water parks on our “rest days” instead of spending the whole day at the resort.

🥹✨ Our newest Disney adventure is going to look a little different…

I see people ask sometimes about doing a baby announcement at Disney, so I wanted to share what we did last week for our newest addition to the family! 👶🏼💕

Baby #2 is coming! 🥹

We knew we wanted to do the announcement at Disney, so we put on our celebration buttons — mine and my husband’s said “Celebrating Baby #2” and our newly 3-year-old had one that said “Celebrating Big Brother.” 🥹

We also brought along a picture from our latest ultrasound and held it up with the EPCOT ball in the background. ✨🏰

It was such a simple little announcement, but it felt SO special getting to capture this moment at one of our favorite places as a family.

And now our next Disney trip will have four people in our crew. 😭❤️✨
