"I had always wanted to be an event planner. I took courses for it in college and landed a dream job. However, when it came time to do it I was miserable. I made some amazing friends but my boss was very cruel and I was physically making myself sick with stress. I made one of the hardest decisions to leave without a backup plan but it ended up being the right choice. I took a few months to rediscover myself and build myself back up from the mental and emotional abuse I went through. I came out stronger and vowed to never let another human being knock me down that hard again."

Something about being by the water was so soothing. I could focus on the waves and everything else would just fall away."
