Okay so when your daughter lives in Madrid, you use it as the best possible excuse to explore Spain, and this time we landed in Marbella and could not believe how beautiful it is! The Old Town alone is worth the trip, cobblestone streets, orange trees, flower-filled alleyways, and tapas on every corner. We wandered for hours and still felt like we hadn’t seen enough. We even caught some of the Samana Santa celebrations leading up to Easter! Then we got to come back and decompress at the Marbella Beach Club, which is honestly one of the most beautiful resorts I have ever set foot in. Stunning beachfront, gorgeous pools, impeccable food, and gardens you could spend all day in! Being there with our daughter there to share it all made it that much sweeter. The return trip is already being planned!

Travel Experts Summit 2026 to Budapest, Vienna, Salzburg, Melk and Vilshofen! Seven days sailing the Danube with . The river was stunning, but the people made this trip!

We kicked things off in Budapest and I truly wasn’t prepared for how beautiful it is. The Parliament at night, the thermal baths, the energy of the city was all incredible. Vienna was everything I hoped for and more. Salzburg had me completely charmed from the moment we arrived. Then Melk, where this stunning abbey sits right on the water and you have to just stop and take it in. Vilshofen was a gentle, lovely finish to a week I didn’t want to end.

But every stop was also a chance to sit down with the partners who take care of our clients every single day. The teams behind Leading Hotels of the World, Four Seasons, Oceania, Silversea, Belmond, Auberge, Tauck, Abercrombie & Kent, Rocco Forte Hotels, Relais & Chateaux, Mandarin Oriental, Micato, Dorchester Collection, Hidden Doorways, Adventures Asia, ID Travel Group, UJV, Blu Cove and Rebecca Recommends-to name just a few!

These are not names on a brochure. These are people I know, trust, and call by name. They look after our clients, give them the best service, and treat every trip like it matters, because to us, it does. When you book with us, that’s exactly what you’re getting: personal relationships that open doors and raise the bar on every single journey!!

Cape Town was the last and final stop on this epic African adventure and what a way to end it!

We watched penguins waddle along the sand at Boulders Beach, stood on top of Table Mountain taking in views that truly do not feel real, and made our way down to the Cape of Good Hope where the ocean stretches on forever. Every turn felt cinematic.

Home for our stay was the iconic Cape Grace Hotel, perfectly set on the V&A Waterfront with Table Mountain as its backdrop. Classic, elegant, and deeply rooted in place, it was the ideal finale to this journey.
We also toured the .
Cape Town has that rare mix of wild beauty, history, culture, and luxury that makes it unforgettable! It’s the perfect combination to add on to a safari!

Part 4 on this South African adventure—the winelands!
After days on safari watching lions do their thing, we rolled into Franschhoek, a stunning valley in the Cape Winelands. We checked into and just soaked it all in. It felt less like a hotel and more like staying at an extraordinarily glamorous friend’s estate.
And it’s so close to Cape Town! If you’re making the trip to South Africa, please, please, please add this in. A few nights here after a safari is genuinely one of the best travel combos I’ve ever done.
Good wine, great food, and mountains in every direction. With hundreds of wineries just a short drive away, it’s a perfect stop for a couple of days.

Part 3 on this African adventure!
The open vegetation at Sabi Sabi meant the landscape stretched wide and the animals were impossible to miss! A lion up close, a mama elephant nudging her baby, rhino grazing, giraffes gliding through the tree line... and thanks to the off-road access in Sabi Sabi, we were able to get really close!
Back at Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge, the magic continued! Sculpted right into the earth, this place is unlike any lodge we’ve ever experienced. It’s the future of luxury safari and it feels like the bush itself designed it.

Stop 2 brought us to Kapama Private Game Reserve and I honestly don’t have the words! Karula Lodge was the most beautiful base for what turned out to be the most insane few days. Lions, buffalo, rhino, zebra, giraffe, hippos, a leopard AND endangered wild dogs. We even laced up our boots for a bush walk through the African wilderness which was a whole different kind of magic. Our guides made it all the more memorable and educational for us! Moments like these are why you travel!!!

Headed off on an epic adventure! First stop: Johannesburg, South Africa for a quick overnight before we head out on a Safari. Most South African adventures start with at least one night here before the flights out to the bush the next morning. But don’t underestimate all there is to do in this cool city with vibrant markets and a rich Nelson Mandela history. We had the opportunity to stay at the gorgeous - a quiet sanctuary in the middle of the hustle and bustle.
