Most tourists visit Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island as a day trip from Phuket. We stayed two nights instead. 🌅

A private pool and whirlpool bath overlooking the bay — limestone karsts, jungle-covered islands, and glowing blue water as far as you could see.

From the moment we woke up to the moment we went to bed, that view never got old.

Tammy and Mike started their trip 50 floors above Bangkok at Tower Club Lebua and ended it on a private beach in Phuket watching the sun go down over the Andaman Sea.

We trekked through the rainforest of Khao Sok National Park with our daughter on our back — and it did not disappoint.

You need a guide for safety in the jungle, but that's actually what makes the experience so special. Ours pointed out things we would have walked straight past — a tarantula, three different snakes, and a troop of monkeys moving through the canopy above us.

On a lucky day you can even spot wild elephants.

We opted for the half day trek this time around since we had our daughter with us. A few years ago we did the full day deep jungle trek all the way to a waterfall.

Khao Sok is one of the oldest rainforests in the world and one of the most underrated destinations in Thailand. Most visitors pass through on the way to the beaches without stopping — and they're missing something truly special.

Most people spend Christmas at home. George and Taso spent it trekking through the jungle with hill tribes and elephants.

Chiang Mai Old Town temples, a three-day jungle trek with hill tribe village stays, bamboo rafting and an ethical elephant encounter, ringside Muay Thai at Rajadamnern Stadium, temple hopping along the Chao Phraya, Railay Beach and a bioluminescent swim at sunset in Krabi, a private pool room on Koh Lanta, Maya Bay at sunrise on Koh Phi Phi, and finishing with a food tour through Phuket Old Town.

Chiang Mai temples and night markets, an overnight train to Bangkok, ringside seats at Rajadamnern Muay Thai Stadium, hidden gems and food tours through Bangkok's historic neighbourhoods, the history of Kanchanaburi, sunset bioluminescent swimming in Krabi, world-class snorkeling at Koh Rok, a private longtail through the coral reefs of Koh Lipe, and finishing with a cooking class back in Chiang Mai.
