***Secret Place Alert***

Hidden behind a big gate down one of the honeycomb-colored alleyways in old Avignon, La Divine Comédie is a jewel of a guest house with five suites and a magical garden in the hear of Avignon.

Walking towards it the nondescript gate, I could have never imagined what lays behind it - a majestic mansion with the largest private garden in town. Owned by Giles Jauffret, is a known decorator and stylist from Paris, the hotel is a feast for eyes - from an an incredible collection of 17th century drawings depicting the history of Avignon, antique furniture to some more eclectic pieces like a giant cow in one of the lounges or a jelly fish lamp (you can purchase one in one of the stores in town!).

Visiting in the warm months? Make sure to try the hot tub in the garden with a view of the Palais.

We are officially with this gem.

Happy Monday!

Back when I was a lawyer, I hated Mondays. But nowadays, a new week means new clients about to begin their travels. This week I have clients headed to Napa Valley, Italy and Miami to name a few. I’m so excited (and just a little bit jealous) for them! I’ll be spending the week sending them last-minute details, emailing with the hotel GMs to ensure my clients are VIPed and double checking their travel documents.

Real talk? Booking a trip on Google isn’t the same as booking with a travel pro who knows their stuff. Let me explain.

Quarantine Breakfast views. We think everyone's quarantine should come with these views.

Mom and I arrived in Grenada on Saturday and are still quarantining (few more hours to go) while enjoying these views, the sun and the sound of waves.

So why are we quarantining? Grenada recently reopened and in order to keep their very very low COVID numbers it has a few requirements for entry:
- Vaccinated travelers only;
- Negative PCR test 72 hours prior to arrival; and
- Everyone is tested on arrival at the airport and required to quarantine for 48 hours (or until their test results come back if earlier) in their hotel.

Sounds stringent but (1) mom and I felt very safe flying here knowing that everyone on the plane had to be tested and vaccinated and that everyone; and (2) the quarantine is really not that bad. Even though we are confined to our rooms, we get to enjoy our outdoor area as well as the beach and the sea. The hotel delivers all of our meals to our room and we get to dine in our private patio listening to the sound of waves. Not bad at all! 😁

It’s finally time to kick back and relax with my mom! I’m swapping my home office for a beach chair in Grenada. Looking forward to some beach time but also to exploring the spice island.

Not to worry I will still be working from my poolside cabana. I will be back in the office in two weeks!

I’m looking forward to a little bit of relaxation! And if you’re in need of some, consider this your official permission to take some time to unwind.

Where are my fellow dreamers? We’ve had over a year to dream about travel, rework our bucket lists, and think about all of the places we want to go, so what big dreams are you dreaming of?

I’ve been dreaming of a trip to Greenland where I’d spend my days staying up with the midnight sun, marveling at glaciers, and hiking the arctic circle.

We had a busy two weeks and are just catching up with our posts. Not only did we participate in two virtual travel conferences, we also sneaked away for a quick lunch and a peak at the stunning Baccarat Hotel in new York City.

We peaked at the rooms, sipped champagne in Baccarat crystal, and caught up on all things Baccarat (some amazing properties are in the works!).

We loved the unabashed opulence of the property, wondered how many of the Baccarat tumblers in the bathroom and crystal sconces on the wall break each week, and soaked in the buzzing scene of the Grand Salon.

With an enviable location right across from the Modern Museum or Art and walking distance to many of the New York's best stores, the New York is one of our favorite New York hotels.
