Looking back on 2025... a year of growth, of change, and of major, life-expanding travel.

A year ago today, I was sitting in someone else’s apartment, not far from where I sit writing this post today. I rented an airbnb for the week between Christmas and New Year’s, spending the week solo in Paris to get a feel for what life might actually look like if I up and moved here. I figured if I still liked Paris when it was cold and dark and dead... well then, maybe I should actually listen to that crazy voice inside telling me to move across the Atlantic. Leaving New York after 15+ years felt equal parts exciting and unhinged.

Wrapping up this year today in my 9th arrondissement apartment? Full-circle moment.

Before landing in this cozy, grounded new place, my personal and professional travels took me far and wide in 2025. From St. Barth’s to South Africa and even Bhutan, I genuinely couldn’t have asked for richer experiences. Bhutan, in particular, had been on my bucket list for YEARS. I remember dreaming of hiking to Tiger’s Nest back in my banking days (likely while running discounted cash flow models at 2am).

The fact that two clients will be following my lead and hiking Bhutan for themselves next year? Another full-circle moment.

One of my greatest joys in 2025 was watching longstanding clients reach new goals. I planned an Australia and New Zealand honeymoon for a former solo travel client. A Sicily babymoon for another former solo traveler. An Antarctica retirement trip for yet another repeat client.

As my clients’ lives have evolved—from solo adventures to marriage, babies, and new chapters—my business has evolved right alongside them.

What started as a solo travel business has turned into honeymoons, babymoons, and parents introducing their little ones to far-flung destinations. What started as a crazy move to Paris is slowly becoming my new home. And somewhere along the way, what started as another year to chase the next big milestone, became the year I finally started trusting the long-term path a bit more. Trusting myself a bit more.

Feeling grateful. Feeling (finally) grounded. And feeling excited for however this journey unfolds next.

📸 Scenes and snaps from the birthplace of burrata!!🍝

My first time visiting the heel of Italy, but I’m already strategizing my second… maybe a cozy off-season winter visit?? I’ll truly *never* get over the convenience of this Parisian home base! 🥺

👇🏼 THREE REASONS you’ll LOVE a Puglia trip!! 🇮🇹

✨ Authenticity you can still feel —

Puglia still flies under the radar for many Americans. It’s still just enough off-grid that it feels like a hidden gem! Between rustic masserias in the countryside, the storybook stone Trulli houses around Alberobello, and the region’s pottery and ceramics traditions, it feels distinctly *different* from anywhere else in Italy. PLUS, it’s a rare destination where you can relax at a beach club in the morning, and then stroll through countryside vineyards in the afternoon! WIN-WIN.

🍋 The perfect pairing —

I’ve done my fair share of road tripping around Italy, and it’s genuinely one of my favorite countries for driving. And with Positano just a 4-hour drive from Bari, it’s fairly easy to combine the GLAM of the Amalfi Coast with the more GROUNDED, less touristy vibe of Puglia. A road-trip combo provides the best of both worlds!!

Start with a stay at (serene rustic charm), (beachfront boutique luxury), or (the iconic resort) — then make your way WEST! Stop along the way to see Lecce’s baroque streets, the cave dwellings of Matera, and dip into hidden grottos along the Adriatic.

🍷 Food & wine heaven —

Puglia is the birthplace of burrata… SAY LESS. Along the coast of this region you’ll find freshly caught seafood, and rich homemade pastas with veal meatballs when you venture inland. Vineyards and olive groves blanket the countryside of Puglia, producing bold primitivo wines, surprisingly *excellent* rosé, and some of Italy’s most delicious olive oils. Whatever’s on the table here, it’s definitely fresh, simple, and YUMMY.

Honestly, I want to go back just writing about it…

Can’t believe it’s really happening, but one-way ticket to Paris —

👏🏼 HERE 👏🏼 WE 👏🏼 GO 👏🏼

I’m feeling equal parts excited, nervous, relieved (that the Paris apartment hunt/French Visa/NYC move-out is all behind me), and exhausted (from schlepping all of these damn suitcases)! 🧳

I have NO idea what’s in store for this next chapter, but I’m confident there will be many pain au chocolats in my future. 🥐

Think of my luxury travel planning services as business as usual, just with a different home base. Plus, maybe a littleee extra European intel!! 🇫🇷

See ya on the other side of the pond, y’all!! ✌🏼
P.S. All FOUR of these bags were checked for free, including one overweight 67 pounder!! Delta loyal. 🙏🏼

📌 Save your Bhutan Itinerary!! 📌

Bhutan was on my bucket list for YEARS—I’m beyond thrilled to say that it more than lived up to my expectations!! 🥹

This is a country where prayer flags outnumber people, where the energy just FEELS lighter, and where each valley offers its own unique sort of magic. Bhutan is also a hiker’s absolute paradise!! ✨

I spent nearly two weeks exploring this beautiful country deep in the Himalayas, and I’m leaving today feeling equal parts grounded and inspired. 🏔️

I was lucky enough to stay at the absolutely *stunning* Six Senses Bhutan lodges throughout my trip. Believe me, this is where you want to stay! Each Six Senses lodge is designed to reflect the unique spirit of its particular valley, yet they all still feel cohesive as a collection. The hotel aesthetics are design-forward, yet cozy. Elevated, yet soulful.

I’m so grateful for this dream experience coming true, and I just can’t wait for my clients to soon experience Bhutan too!! 🌿

👇🏼 While there are MANY ways to craft a Bhutan vacation, I’ve mapped out two ideal itineraries—depending on how much time you have to spend. SAVE this post for future trip planning! ✏️

7-NIGHT ITINERARY:

2 nights Thimphu
2 nights Punakha
3 nights Paro
(+ Hike Tiger’s Nest from Paro, at the end of your trip, after you’ve adjusted to the Himalayan altitude!!)

12-NIGHT ITINERARY:

2 nights Thimphu
2 nights Punakha
3 nights Gangtey
2 nights Bumthang
(+ Fly direct from here back to Paro!)
3 nights Paro
(+ again, THIS is the best time to hike Tiger’s Nest!!)

It’s also SO easy to pair Bhutan with other Asian destinations like Singapore, Thailand, India, Nepal, etc.!

Bhutan isn’t just another vacation—it’s a complete RESET of mind and body.

🚀 And when you’re ready to plan your OWN epic Himalayan escape… you know where to find me!! 🙋🏻‍♀️

Napa could never—this is the wine escape that belongs on your bucket list!🍷

Rolling rows of manicured vineyards, dramatic mountains towering in every direction, ultra-luxurious hotel stays, and a magical golden hour that just hits different.

Some places make you want to extend your trip, but this one made me want to buy property.

📍Where to stay: La Residence—hands down.

I hope my passion for this STUNNING hotel comes through in this post, because I’m truly OBSESSED. La Residence was already one of the most spectacular hotel properties in the world, but there’s now a BRAND NEW luxury villa called Franschhoek House. This exclusive 6-bedroom villa is *ideal* for families or a group of friends wanting an intimate winelands retreat. SWIPE to the last two frames for an *exclusive* villa walkthrough! 👀

🍷Where to sip: Tokara, Delaire Graff, Babylonstoren, Waterford Estate, Kanonkop, Mullineux & Leeu, Haute Cabrière, plus so many options in between!

🌿Beyond the tastings: From spa days to hot air ballooning, olive oil tastings, art gallery hopping, or e-bike tours, I’d highly recommend a visit to this area EVEN IF you’re not into wine. It’s worth the 1-hour trip from Cape Town!

✨Drop a 🍷 in the comments of the winelands of Stellenbosch and Franschoek are on your bucket list!👇🏼

🇿🇦 South Africa, I’m coming for you!!! 🦁

Tbh, I’m usually packing at the last minute, only hours before take-off, but this time I started strategizing EARLY—no way I’m showing up unprepared for a two-week sub-Saharan adventure! From Cape Town to the Winelands, Durban Beach, and multiple safari camps along the way… I’ve been gearing up this week for a DREAM come true sort of trip. ✨

It still blows my mind that this is work. 🥺

👇🏼 Here’s a sneak peek at my itinerary in case you want to SAVE it for later (feel free to COPY)!! 📌

✨ Cape Town – Splitting my stay between The Silo Hotel, a design-forward luxury boutique GEM, as well as Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa, located just below Table Mountain, with breathtaking ocean views and a world-class spa.

✨ Western Cape – Finding serenity at Bushman’s Kloof. Y’all know I love ANY sort of fabulous, remote nature retreat!

✨ Safari – Immersing myself in wildlife at two Safari lodges from the luxury adventure &Beyond brand—Phinda Mountain Lodge and Phinda Forest Lodge. Each lodge offers SUCH a different experience, and feels a little off-the-beaten path for a South African safari… I’m here for that!!

✨ Durban Beach – Lastly, wrapping this trip up in a BOW with a beachfront stay at The Oyster Box, and I can’t wait to soak up those sunny beachy vibes! NYC was FRIGID last week!!

I can’t wait to share the magic of this trip with you, so follow along with my stories for more! 🫶🏼

For now, I’m just soaking in the excitement of my upcoming flight, and trying to squeeze ANOTHER safari outfit in my suitcase… 😅

🙋🏻‍♀️ Is a South Africa vacation like this on your bucket list? Or maybe you’ve already been and there’s ANOTHER destination calling your name?? Drop your bucket list cities, countries, or *continents* in the comments BELOW!! 🥳

I was always counting down the days to my next far-flung trip—until it hit me: what if far-flung travel WAS the job?

I still remember walking past a storefront on my college campus for STA Travel, a now-bankrupt travel agency that focused on budget group tours for college students. Every time I saw it, I thought it sounded SO FUN. A job where you get to learn about new places around the world just felt exciting and full of possibility.

But those thoughts were always *quickly* shoved down. DEEP down. “It’s not respected enough. It’s not paid enough. It’s not prestigious enough.”

I spent the next 11 years in investment banking.

Those subconscious feelings resurfaced when I took a family trip to the Four Seasons in Costa Rica. My dad was a pharmaceutical sales executive and he helped plan luxury incentive trips for his top-performing sales reps. My family visited the FS for free while my dad scouted the property, and we were wined and dined like celebrities; truly VIP guests. “What IS this life and how do I get more of it??” Welp, I guess I like nice things, and thus, I guess I can never quit finance.

I’ll never forget our intimate dinner with the hotel’s general manager. He and his wife shared their story of moving between various Four Seasons properties all over the world. They had lived EVERYWHERE. Together, they were a globe trotting team; supporting each other at every turn. And now? They announced they were starting a family. I remember it all so vividly because I was *completely* fascinated. I grew up in a quiet suburb of Chicago. People actually lived like this? It all felt SO unconventional and SO inspiring.

And yet, SO not me. That could never be MY life; I was on the “right” path. Back to banking I went. Back to ignoring my quiet inner voice.

Meanwhile, my job was all-consuming. Dinner? Typically taken from my desk. Weekends? Same same. I felt like I was constantly just counting down the days until my next BLOWOUT trip. (Remainder in caption)👇🏼

Greetings from Chilé!! 🇨🇱
And more specifically… Atacama! Have you heard of this region before??

Atacama is a stunning desert in northern Chilé with an otherworldly landscape. The topography varies SO much here, and you’ll see everything from salt flats to volcanoes to geysers on your future visit. Chilé is an ideal destination for outdoor adventurists!

Still, if I’m being honest, I’m the type of nature enthusiast who loves to hike and explore during the day, but still unwind at a high-end luxury resort come nighttime.

What better way to soothe sore muscles than with a fabulous spa treatment and top-tier dining??

I’m grateful to be staying at the absolutely beautiful , with contemporary aesthetics, warm and friendly staff, and a picture-perfect location deep in Atacama’s red rocks. The local guides have also been PHENOMENAL!

This resort destination is fantastic for solo travelers too, because there’s daily group activities that leave the hotel each morning and afternoon. It’s a perfect mix of both time to socialize with other international travelers alongside time alone for rest and relaxation.

I’d pair a visit to Atacama with the bustling city of Santiago, plus potentially Patagonia and/or the wine region of Mendoza, Argentina! Follow along in my stories for some daily Chilean travel inspo!
Chilé remains one of my favorite travel destinations to date. Have you visited yet or is it on your bucket list??
