Block Island • If you know you know; if you don’t, this picturesque island off the coast of Rhode Island is the perfect place to soak up the last days of summer. Accessible by ferries from Montauk, Newport, New London and Port Judith, this little hidden gem has understated New England charm, stunning countryside, dramatic cliffs, sandy beaches and surf-able waves for days.

Our perfect day? Grab a bicycle or moped when you get off the ferry and take meandering tour of the island on two wheels - stopping frequently of course, for plenty of snacks and refreshments. Before heading out of town, grab a coffee at and then hit the open road. Make your way down to The Oar and grab a lawn chair to relax in while you enjoy an icey beverage and harbor views (rumor has it this is also a great place to post up for sunset and sushi). Head back out for more charming countryside roads and then stop again at the Southeast lighthouse. Built in the 1800’s, this icon sits on top of the dramatic clay cliffs of Mohegan’s Bluff.
