It got a little cold after this photo was taken (by ) so I had to put on a jacket. The June temperatures in Tahoe were 70s at the warmest but most often 50s and 60s and below freezing at night in the mountains. 🥶 Don’t let these Caribbean colors fool you!

Another shot from beautiful southwest. Camping here in the summer was spectacular…until the sun came out. Then it felt like a furnace. It will be 90° with 100% humidity this weekend in the northeast. I think I would still prefer the dry 100° temperatures from this camping trip. What about you? Dry 100 or humid 90?

Throwback to 9 years ago when I set off this time in May for my first Scandinavian adventure! This was the second country on the route, Norway! I remember I arrived to the fjords very early in the morning and waited for my ferry further into the fjords. This one of the Hurtigruten cruise ships, a unique cruise line that navigates through the beautiful Norwegian fjords. Of course I didn’t have the luxury to experience the fjords that way so instead took the shorter ferry trip on the water, to Geirangerfjord. There I camped and went hiking and still got beautiful views. Would do again! 👌🏼

Who is going to the beach this Memorial Weekend? I might pick a time when it won’t be crowded but likely not. The parking lots will be limited in space and the weather won’t be as warm as last weekend, which was when I took this video. Honestly, I’m enjoying stay-at-home. A few weeks ago I was depressed but now for some reason, I’m my mood has changed. I guess I’ve finally reached a quarantine-stride.

I took this from the last time I was in Taiwan, on a 8-mile jog along the river. I was there before Taiwan’s Covid patient zero but I am impressed with how their contact tracing techniques have effectively curbed coronavirus outbreaks, despite a close proximity to mainland China. Taiwan remains a peaceful place to go on long runs.
