For some travelers, having a fully-stocked private kitchen is essential.

Culinary travel isn't only about tasting menus and Michelin-starred restaurants (though those are often a huge piece of the puzzle). It's also about dining like locals, which for many travelers means cooking and shopping for ingredients like locals.

If cooking is your passion, you'll want to be sure that your accommodations will provide you with essential kitchen items, which is why it's so important to work with a professional who can help ensure you'll have everything you need.

You'd probably be very disappointed if you showed up at an airbnb or vrbo (companies we do not work with) to find the kitchen has no pots, pans, or silverware, or if there was a coffeemaker but no coffeepot, a dystopian torture which would destroy many.

If you're choosing to stay in a stunning villa in Puglia or a castle in Scotland, you'll want to be sure you'll have everything you need.

Hot tip: Como isn’t the only lake in Italy

Italy has an entire lake region and Lake Maggiore knocked our socks off 🤯

It's not every day a Michelin-starred chef shares their recipes, so when Chef Silvia Baracchi of Relais & Chateaux Il Falconiere does, you notice.

Chef Baracchi shared her recipe for Chianina beef with a black olive crust at Eataly NYC, and I'm happy to pass that recipe on to you.

After spending a few days in Rome, I headed to Tiburtina Station and boarded a northbound Trenitalia 🚄

In a little over two hours, I found myself halfway between Rome and Florence, in the heart of Tuscany 🌞

This was a weekend full of rolling hills, vineyards, olive trees, farm animals roaming the land, and some of the best food and wine in Italy 🌳

2024 was a year full of firsts and incredible travel opportunities

✨ Visiting Napoli for the first time, eating pizza in its birthplace, and attending an opera in the oldest theatre in Europe

✨ Trying all four of Rome’s signature pasta dishes (that carbonara brought me to tears)

✨ Taking a ferry from Naples to Ischia and finally setting foot on one of the Campania region’s most stunning spots. I’ve been dreaming of Ischia for years!

✨ Returning to Spain and getting to Barcelona for the first time. The food scene, architecture, and vibe of the city were electric

✨Getting back on board Virgin Voyages and cruising the French Riviera and Spain’s Balearic Islands

✨A second trip to Italy, beginning along the stunning Lago Maggiore for the first time (I’m obsessed!)

✨Living my best under the Tuscan Sun life in Cortona, the heart of Tuscany, and visiting Rimini for the first time

✨Finally getting to Sicily, which I haven’t stopped thinking about since

Here’s to seeing more of the world in 2025! 🥂

Oh look, a cold and rainy December day 🥹

I don’t know about you, but days like today have me longing for summer and sunshine ☀️

Whether on land, by sea, or a combination of both, Spain is one of the Med’s most enriching destinations 🇪🇸
