Great to be part of Big Apple Awards/Program to recognize excellence in teaching. Out of 79,000 public school teachers in NYC, 6,500 were nominated to be a top teacher, 1,500 were invited to apply for program, and only 17 were selected as award winners this year! It is such an honor to work with these amazingly dedicated teachers. We have been involved for past 6 years, providing these teachers professional development workshops and coaching. Second shot is new NYC Chancellor Carranza, speaking to Fellows, who will be his new advisory group.
