Don’t let this historic anniversary pass you by. 90 years ago this Thursday, on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1934 a virtually homeless 17 year old, Ella Fitzgerald, won Amateur Night at the Apollo singing Hoagy Carmichael’s, Judy.

Here is a fanciful recreation of that seminal event done live at the Apollo celebrating Ella’s centennial anniversary back in 2017.
