Procedures should be checked on an ongoing basis as restrictions may change.

IMPORTANT! Passengers who do not have the required documents and thus do not have the right to enter the country, will not be allowed on board.*

Current safety procedures and entry restrictions applied in individual countries are available on Sherpa platform. The website provides information on restrictions for crossing the border of specific countries, required entry documents, and health and safety recommendations. Check the current restrictions map before the flight.

With care of the health and safety, and due to actual regulations, a protective mask covering nose and mouth is required during the entire flight (except for children under 5 and persons with severe disabilities, who are unable to put on/take off the mask on their own). Masks can be removed during a meal. Passengers returning to Poland ale also obliged to fill in Passenger Locator Form and Health Declaration, provided during the flight. The collected data will be secured in accordance with local data protection laws.

After you have filled out the online “declaration of interest,” the Ministry of Health will contact you when a vaccine is available for your cohort and provide instructions about registering for an appointment. The United States Government does not plan to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to private U.S. citizens overseas.

Testing is available at many laboratories and medical facilities throughout Poland that provide results within 72 hours. Rapid antigen tests that provide results in approximately 30 minutes are available at most international airports in Poland. For drive-through testing center options, you can buy tests online at this website and take the code you receive to the testing center you have selected. This website is another option in Warsaw that provides drive-through and in-home testing. This website offers an in-home testing option in Krakow. For information about testing at airports, please visit the airport websites or contact your airline.
· New travel requirements: Many airlines require that a certain kind of mask be worn for flights, and many countries have specific mask and COVID-19 testing requirements, even for transit. Please check with your airline and the government websites of all countries you plan to visit or transit to confirm the latest requirements before you travel.

A list of exemptions can be found on the U.S. Embassy’s COVID-19 page and the Polish Government’s COVID-19 Page. The Polish Border Guard determines who will be allowed to enter Poland, and the U.S. Embassy has no control over this process. If you have questions about whether your situation qualifies for an exemption or if you will be allowed to enter or transit Poland, please contact the Border Guard by e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at +48 22 500 4068, +48 22 500 4568, or +48 22 500 5468.

Visas, temporary resident permits, and work permits that expire during the State of Emergency will be extended until 30 days after the conclusion of the State of Emergency. At this time, we do not know when the State of Emergency will end, but the Embassy will provide updated information as it becomes available.
