Breaking Bread NYC

Breaking Bread NYC Breaking Bread brings people together with shared food experiences through tours, campaigns, and eve

Breaking Bread NYC is a project from food tour guides and food lovers aimed at connecting communities through cuisine. We organize dinners, tours, campaigns, and programs to support our neighbors in times of need. It's always easier to understand the unfamiliar when you sit down and break bread together. Organizers and supporters include:
Jeff Orlick (Queens Qustodian, Momo Crawl)
Serhan Ayhan (Bo

ston Pizza)
Scott Wiener (Scott's Pizza Tours, Slice Out Hunger)
Steph Mantis (Steph Mantis Designs)
Myra Alperson (Noshwalks)
Max Falkowitz (Saveur)
Cindy Vandenbosch (Turnstyle Tours)
Seth Kamil (Big Onion Tours)

We are so proud to share that won the for Outstanding Achievment in NYC Food! To be nominated among first-generation activist groups that recognize food’s social importance and use both expertise and love of food to promote inclusion and to bring people and cultures together is an honor in and of itself. We are so proud of this city and honored to share its food with our own both neighbors and visitors. Projects like these celebrate NYC food not for its history, but for its future. ❤️🥖❤️ @ New York, New York

Today we entered a portal to Rwanda! It was amazing to share a meal with a group of Rwandans, discussing our cultural simialrities and differences. Tgeir perspective was extremely refreshing. Such an amazing example of a country leading by example 20 years after civil war and genocide that claimed nearly 1 million lives. Based on today's conversation, the Rwanda of today is focused on progress.

The event was made possible by Portals, a program hosted by Andy Isaacson and Shared Studios with food provided by Safari NYC. There may still be spots left for tomorrow's Portal to Mission, TX. Message us with your email address and we'll connect you with the right people.
