While New Yorkers certainly yearn for the best that the city has to offer, the city, due to its size and ever changing landscape, makes choosing the best very difficult. Sure, you want the best slice of pizza, but how do you know it's the best? Enter "The Best of New York", the Daily News' column, which will allow all of us to join the great New York conversation. Each week the two of us solicit "
best of" suggestions on specific topics in the hopes of getting one step closer to determining the greatest parts of New York. Ya got something to say about the best park bench or vegetable cream cheese in the city? Add your two cents here. Of course, there will be disagreements. After all, we're nothing if not opinionated. We love a good argument. But from this heated exchange comes a more acute understanding of our surroundings. To ensure the best results, we will listen to the voice of the people while limiting the field to three final suggestions. But after that, it will be up to our intrepid reporters to visit the finalists and determine the winner. After all, sheer volume does not always define what is best. One must experience the goods to truly form an opinion. It is with this hope that we ask YOU, pizza lovers in Midwood, burger lovers in East Harlem, pastrami sandwich-eaters in Rego Park; those of you with favorite museums on the Upper East and favorite dive bars on the Lower West sides, that you include us in your conversation on the best of New York.
