We are a member of The National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO), a coalition of 20 fraternities and sororities in the United States.

Memorial Day began in the aftermath of the Civil War as a day to honor fallen soldiers and decorate their graves. One of the earliest recorded commemorations was led by formerly enslaved Black Americans in Charleston, South Carolina, who gathered to honor Union soldiers who fought for freedom and the abolition of slavery.

From undergrad memories to motherhood, our Hermandad continues to grow, evolve, and carry us through every stage of life. Today, we celebrate the mothers, daughters, legacies, and Hermanas who remind us that Hermandad doesn’t end after graduation, it becomes part of the families, communities, and futures we build together.

Our mission has always been bigger than the college experience. It’s about empowering one another across generations through culture, leadership, service, and lifelong connection.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms and mother figures in our Hermandad and our personal lives. ❤️
