They were completed one year before I was born. I accompanied thousands of tourists during 1996 & 2001 to “Top of the world observation deck” in tower 2.
I remember everything inside the 109 and 110 floor, being this last floor literally the roof of the building.
I remember the free Celia Cruz concert at the main plaza on Center Stage 2000.
I remember lying on the ground to get both towers in one angle for the picture.
So many stories so many anecdotes, I could go on and on…
20 years ago they collapsed leaving a feeling of void that is hard to explain.
We have to know our past so we can learn for our future.

Fueron completadas un año antes de mi nacimiento. Acompañe a miles de turistas entre 1996 y 2001 al observatorio “Top of the World” en la torre 2.
Recuerdo todo sobre el piso 109 y 110, siendo el último piso literalmente el techo del edificio.
Recuerdo el concierto gratuito de Celia Cruz en la plaza principal en Center Stage en el 2000.
Recuerdo estar tirado sobre el piso para tomar ambas torres en un ángulo para la foto.
Tantas historias, tantas anécdotas, podría seguir y seguir…
20 años atrás colapsaron dejando un sentimiento de vacío difícil de explicar.
Tenemos que conocer nuestro pasado para que podamos aprender para nuestro futuro.
