Once upon a time many many moons ago....I was a young bride. I grew up in a very religious home. I started working in the airline industry. I was accepted even in my awkwardness by the most amazing black man...a gay black man. He loved me, he validated me, he made me feel worthy, he protected me and he taught me so many life lessons. He was my best friend. I needed him by my side on my wedding day. I didn’t have a maid of honor but I had the best MAN of honor that anyone could ever have! And I didn’t really care what anyone had to say. We were proud and blatant with our message of acceptance and love. My first pride was 20 years ago...when Cher headlined the White Party in Palm Springs....and the mimosas were flowing while we danced well into the night. Happy Pride to all! 🧡💚💙💜💛❤️🍭🌈👸🏽🤴🏾
